Welcome to The Baker Nextdoor's Website! My name is Caitlin, and I have been a hobby baker for 10 years. Throughout this time, I have found myself learning more and having fun through the process of creating new recipes, designs, and techniques. Sharing my passion of baking & decorating with others has brought a lot of joy in my life. It is because of these reasons and more that the The Baker Nextdoor is now open for business!

 

It is my pleasure to make delicious desserts for your special events, weekend parties, or even just a weekday that needs something sweet! Take a look at some of the creations I've made. The Baker Nextdoor is considered a cottage food business in Maryland. Therefore, there are rules that I must follow in order to remain in business. Some of these rules include: 

 

1. All icings/fillers that are listed as options on my site have been tested by a lab, and meet the standards set forth by The MD Health Department. If an icing/filler is requested ,that is not on my list, I may need to send in a sample to a lab to make sure if meets Maryland Standards. If so, I will be able to use and sell that frosting. Please be aware that this process could take up to 2 weeks. If not approved, other options can be provided to you by The Baker Nextdoor.

2. I am not able to sell out of the state of Maryland. 

3. I am not able to sell baked goods with fresh fruit with a pH above 4.6 or meat.

 

If an order is requested that I am not able to fulfill, I will let you know that is the case, and the reason why. Hopefully we can work out a different option that meets your needs and falls within the parameters set for me. If not, I hope you will look to The Baker Nextdoor for your next order!
